Each row begins with a CH1 and turn. This CH1 does not count as a stitch.

Crochet Pattern

Chain 28

Row 1:  HDC in 2nd CH from hook = 27 HDC

Row 2: CH 1, turn. HDC in 1st stitch, *CH 1, SK next stitch, HDC in next stitch*, repeat until last 2 stitches.  CH 1, SK 2nd to last stitch, HDC in last stitch. 

Row 3: CH 1, turn.  LHDC in 1st stitch of previous row, *CH 1, SK next stitch, LHDC into top of HDC in previous row*, repeat until last 2 stitches.  CH 1, SK 2nd to last stitch, HDC in last stitch. 

Row 4: CH 1, turn.  LHDC in 1st stitch of previous row, *CH 1, SK next stitch, LHDC into top of LDHC in previous row*, repeat until last 2 stitches.  CH 1, SK 2nd to last stitch, HDC in last stitch. 

Row 5-29: Repeat Row 4

Row 30: CH 1, turn.  LHDC in 1st stitch of previous row, *HDC in next stitch, LHDC in previous row*, repeat until end with HDC in last stitch. 

Fasten off. Weave in ends.
