Foundation Half Double Crochet (FHDC)
Stitch Definitions
sl st = slip stitch
- Insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull through stitch and loop on hook
ch = Chain
- Yarn over, pull through loop on hook
sc = Single Crochet
- Insert hook into stitch
- Yarn over and pull through stitch
- Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook
hdc = Half Double Crochet
- Yarn over, insert hook into stitch
- Yarn over and pull through stitch
- Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on hook
HHDC = Herringbone Half Double Crochet
- Yarn over and insert the hook into the next stitch.
- Yarn over and pull the loop through the stitch AND through the first loop on the hook. Two loops remain on hook.
- Yarn over again and pull the loop through both loops on the hook.
dc = Double Crochet
- Yarn over, insert hook into stitch
- Yarn over and pull through stitch
- Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook
- Yarn over and pull through last two loops on hook
DC Cluster
- Yarn over (YO), insert hook in the stitch, YO draw the yarn through the stitch, YO, draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook
- Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 3 loops on the hook
- One DC Cluster is complete
tr = Treble Crochet
- Yarn over 2 times, insert hook into stitch
- Yarn over and pull through stitch
- yarn over and pull through 2 loops (3 times)
V-stitch
- Double crochet in stitch
- Chain 2
- Double crochet in same stitch
