The crochet Camel Stitch is perfect for those crocheters, like myself, who don’t know how to knit, but occasionally want that knit look.
This tutorial builds on the Foundation Half Double Crochet (FHDC).
This stitch can be used with any yarn or any size crochet hook. It can be made as long or wide as you want. I use it mostly in hat, cowls, and headbands, but it can be used for anything. Like those chunky blankets made of roving and using a giant crochet hook.
TIP: For beginning each row, CH1, then start in the first stitch. This will give a much smoother and straighter edge.
